The Minority Apartment Owners Association (MAOA) was formed to be an advocate for owners and operators of rental properties predominately in rent control areas. Since its founding, MAOA has broadened its mission to include all rental properties throughout the Los Angeles and surrounding areas. The Association has served as a resource for information to owners and operators by providing key contacts and ways to deal with issues that rental property owners are facing with the ever-increasing legislation and cost of operating rental housing.
Despite the Association's great work in the community, they lacked a centralized location to provide their members with information about housing policies and laws that impact property owners.
The Association sought a simple, streamlined website that offered a centralized area to communicate with their members. Utilizing Wix.com, we created a clean and easy to navigate website that easily shares relevant information and allows the Association to collect membership dues. By establishing an online presence, the Association experienced a dramatic increase in the number of new and current members utilizing the Association's resources.
